DR. FARIMAH FARAHANI

Dr. Farimah Farahani is an obstetrician and gynecologist, who believes preventing a disease and educating women are two of the most important steps in contributing to a healthier society. She is passionate about educating patients; and does it either daily in the office or periodically throughout local talks and seminars, covering topics such as family planning/contraception, STD prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, and gynecological cancers screening.

In addition to volunteering in the Appalachian region in the U.S. and Honduras in South America, Dr. Farahani has worked along with the American College of OBGYN Political Action Committee to lobby at the Capitol Hill annually in order to argue for legislations that affect women in a positive way. An Annual Dean’s Honor graduate, Dr. Farahani has received the AAGL “Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology” award and currently works at a private practice in Northern Virginia, where she sees a high volume of patients daily.
