DR. NICOLE N. HASHEMIAN

Dr. Nicole N. Hashemian is a doctor of Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Clinical Neuropsychology. She has broad experience working with individuals and families with a wide variety of mental health disorders. As part of her clinical training, which included doctoral externships at the Children’s National Medical Center, she has worked collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams performing clinical assessments and utilizing empirically supported treatment methods to care for patients.


Dr. Hashemian is passionate about working with women and children suffering from psychological illnesses, and believes improved mental health is one of the important foundations to a healthy and empowered society. Her areas of interest include trauma, anxiety, depression, psychological and sexual abuse, PTSD, and adjustment-related difficulties. She has presented on topics such as trauma and abuse, assessing and treating eating disorders, models of implementing behavioral healthcare, issues faced by immigrant families, and nurturing motivation and resilience in children with ADHD. She is fluent in Persian and well-versed in working with culturally diverse populations. Dr. Hashemian is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) as well as the APA’s Division of Clinical Neuropsychology.
